The government will release the 18th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on October 5, 2024. Through this scheme, eligible small and marginal farmers receive ₹6,000 annually, distributed in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 each.
The last instalment was disbursed on June 18, 2024, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Who benefits from the PM-KISAN scheme?
The PM-KISAN scheme is designed to provide income support to small and marginal farmers across India.
Farmers who own up to 2 hectares of land are eligible to receive benefits under this program.
The funds are directly transferred to their bank accounts to ensure timely support.
How to check eligibility?
Farmers can check their eligibility and whether they are already enrolled in the scheme by following these steps:
- Visit the official PM-KISAN website.
- Go to the beneficiary list page.
- Select your state, district, sub-district, block, and village.
- Click on ‘Get Report’ to see the beneficiary list and check if your name is included. Additionally, the beneficiary list is displayed at local Panchayats for transparency.
How to complete your eKYC to keep receiving payments?
To continue receiving PM-KISAN benefits, farmers must complete their eKYC.
There are three ways to do this:
- OTP-based eKYC: Available on the PM-KISAN portal and mobile app.
- Biometric eKYC: Offered at Common Service Centres (CSCs) and State Seva Kendras (SSKs).
- Face Authentication-based eKYC: Available on the PM KISAN Mobile App.
Ensuring that the eKYC is up to date will prevent any disruptions in receiving future payments.
