Cardinals at Brewers picks and predictions
Prediction
Brewers 5, Cardinals 3
Moneyline
PASS.
The Brewers (-166) will take the opener of this series in Milwaukee, but I’d rather put my wager on the run line.
Run line/Against the spread
BET BREWERS -1.5 (+130).
Milwaukee is kicking off a 6-game homestand and has been pretty solid at American Family Field this season (40-25 straight up). Milwaukee’s been hot lately, winning 5 of its last 6 games. Plus, Peralta, has been lights out with a 2-0 record in his last 3 starts, giving up just 1 earned run over 17 innings. Even though the Cardinals are playing well, the Brewers have had the upper hand, going 7-3 against St. Louis this year. So, taking the Brewers -1.5 seems like a smart move!
Over/Under
PASS.
The market does not expect a lot of runs with this low total, and I agree, but I’m not confident enough to recommend this bet. I don’t like the trends in either direction.
These teams are 5-5 O/U in the last 10 meetings. The Cardinals are 5-5 O/U in their last 10 games, while the Brewers are 6-3-1 O/U in their last 10.
